Busan Human Resource Development Center and the Audit Training Institute Sign MOU to Advance Audit Education for Busan City Officials

The Busan Human Resource Development Center (President Kim Eun-hee) and the Audit Training Institute (President Kim Soon-sik) announced that on April 9, they signed an MOU at the Busan Human Resource Development center to strengthen audit competency training for public officials in Busan.

This agreement was established in response to growing societal expectations for transparency and integrity in the public sector and the resulting need for systematic audit training that enhances ethics and professionalism.

The signing ceremony was attended by Kim Eun-hee, President of the Busan Human Resource Development Center, and Kim Soon-sik, President of the Audit Training Institute.

Through this MOU, the two institutions aim to build a collaborative framework by jointly utilizing audit education programs, instructors, teaching materials, and facilities, thereby enhancing the practical effectiveness of the training.

Since its establishment in 1995, the Audit Training Institute has supported the Board of Audit and Inspection—the highest audit institution in Korea—as well as various national agencies, local governments, and public institutions by providing training for audit professionals and accounting staff.

This agreement marks the first partnership between the Audit Training Institute and a local government official training institute, positioning Busan to take a leading role in advancing audit education at the local government level.

Under the MOU, the two institutions will actively cooperate in various areas to improve the quality of audit education, including:

• ●Joint research and improvement of audit education programs

• ●Sharing of instructors and educational resources

• ●Collaboration on facilities and content

The Busan Human Resource Development Center plans to continue promoting effective education through partnerships with professional institutions not only in audit but also across various fields.

Kim Soon-sik, President of the Audit Training Institute, stated,

"As the training arm of the nation’s top audit authority, we will use this MOU with Busan to create a model for regionally tailored audit education."

Kim Eun-hee, President of the Busan Human Resource Development Center, commented,
