Busan is good

The Busan Exhibition and Convention Center (BEXCO) Corporation was first established in 1995. Ground broke on the convention center in 1998 with construction being completed in 2001. BEXCO was the 2nd major convention center to be built in the country after COEX in Seoul.

The exhibition and convention industry was designated as one of the region’s strategic industries in 2004, and within three years Busan had already risen to seventh in the rankings for most popular international convention cities in Asia.

Busan, currently ranked the fifth most popular international convention city in Asia, embarked on its BEXCO expansion project in 2006 to meet projected future growth in the demand for international conferences and exhibitions. The project, which included the construction of a 2nd exhibition & convention center, as well as an auditorium, has been completed with both facilities formally opened to the public as of June 1, 2012.

The Nurimaru APEC House is located on the picturesque Dongbaek Island bursting with camellias and pine trees. It is located one kilometer away from BEXCO. Nearby Haeundae Beach offers visitors the chance to appreciate the exquisite scenery of the area. Nurimaru is a world-class international conference hall that combines both natural and modern beauty.
