Busan Metropolitan City Ordinance on the Support for the Innovation and Revitalization of Mobility

Busan Metropolitan City Ordinance No. 7204, 14. February, 2024., Enactment
- Article 1 (Purpose)
- The purpose of this ordinance is to establish necessary provisions for systematically promoting mobility innovation and activation in Busan Metropolitan City, in accordance with the Act on the Support for the Innovation and Revitalization of Mobility and to contribute to the establishment of new mobility systems as safe and useful means of transportation for citizens.
- Article 2 (Definitions)
- The terms used in this ordinance follow the definitions provided in Article 2 of the Act on the Support for the Innovation and Revitalization of Mobility (hereinafter referred to as “Act”).
- Article 3 (Responsibilities of the Mayor)
- The Mayor of Busan Metropolitan City (hereinafter referred to as “Mayor”) shall secure the necessary budget and establish and implement various policies to promote the introduction, expansion, and activation of advanced mobility systems.
- Article 4 (Formulation of Mobility Improvement Plans and Implementation of Improvement Projects)
- (1) When the Mayor formulates a mobility improvement plan targeting two or more districts or counties, the plan may include the following:
- 1. The spatial and temporal scope of the mobility improvement plan
- 2. Matters related to the current status, service levels, and directions for improvement in accordance with Article 5 (1) of the Act
- 3. Detailed plans for expanding mobility means and infrastructure for the utilization of advanced mobility systems
- 4. Matters related to the implementation framework and the sourcing and management of funds
- 5. Other matters necessary for improving the conditions for the utilization of advanced mobility systems
- (2) The Mayor may seek advice from relevant professional organizations or the Mobility Support Center designated under Article 7 of the Act when formulating a mobility improvement plan.
- Article 5 (Training of Experts)
- The Mayor may support the following initiatives to systematically develop a specialized workforce necessary for the innovation of mobility services and the fostering of related industries:
- 1. Education and training of experts in mobility
- 2. Development and dissemination of educational programs about mobility
- 3. Other initiatives deemed necessary by the Mayor
- Article 6 (Establishment of Cooperation Systems)
- The Mayor may establish cooperative systems with local governments, academic institutions, research organizations, industries, and other relevant agencies or organizations to promote mobility innovation and activation.
- Article 7 (Support)
- The Mayor may provide administrative and financial support for the promotion and activation of mobility innovation.
