Busan Metropolitan City Ordinance on Support for Creation of the Aged's Jobs
- Article 1 (Purpose)
- The purpose of this Ordinance is to contribute to the aged's social participation and stable old age by providing for the necessary matters to create the aged's jobs.
- Article 2 (Definitions)
- The definitions of terms used in this Ordinance are as follows:
- 1. The term "creation of the aged's jobs" means the development and dissemination of the various jobs suited to the aged's capability and aptitude; and
- 2. The term "institution in exclusive charge of the aged's jobs" means the institution in exclusive charge of the aged's jobs established and operated by the Busan Metropolitan City under Article 23-2 of the Welfare of the Aged Act.
- Article 3 (Establishment and Implementation of Project Plan for Creation of the Aged's Jobs)(1) The Mayor of the Busan Metropolitan City (hereinafter referred to as the "Mayor") shall establish and implement the project plan concerning the creation of the aged's jobs (hereinafter referred to as the "project plan") every year.
- (2) The project plan shall include the following matters:
- 1. Master plan and direction for the creation of the aged's jobs;
- 2. Matters concerning development, dissemination, and management of the aged's jobs;
- 3. Matters concerning support of financial resources and public relations activities for the creation of the aged's jobs;
- 4. Matters concerning the education and training of the aged who participate in the aged's job; and
- 5. Other matters necessary for support of the creation of the aged's jobs
- (3) The Mayor may, in case where he/she establishes the project plan, request cooperation to the related institution, corporation, or organization.
- Article 4 (Types of Institution in Exclusive Charge of the Aged's Jobs)(1) The types of the institution in exclusive charge of the aged's jobs are as follows:

- 1. Senior club: the institution which creates or provides the aged's jobs, furnishing some standards of facilities and specialized man power, and utilizing local resources; and
- 2. General management center for the aged's man power: the institution which assists, educates, and counsels the aged to find jobs, and performs general management of the data concerning job offer, and job seeking of the aged's man power.
- (2) The Mayor shall, in order to effectively manage the project for creation of the aged's jobs, endeavor to improve the treatment of the employees workng in the institution in exclusive charge of the aged's jobs.
- Article 5 (Preferential Purchase of Products)
- The Mayor shall endeavor to preferentially purchase the products which are produced by the project for the creation of the aged's jobs.
- Article 6 (Encouragement to entrust management of facilities, etc.)
- The Mayor may encourage the public corporation, investing or contributing institution established by the Busan Metropolitan City under the Local Public Enterprises Act to entrust the management of facilities to the institution in exclusive charge of the aged's jobs.
- Article 7 (Support for Working Expenses, etc.)(1) The Mayor may support the partial amount of working expenses for the projects of creating the aged's jobs or pilot projects by the institution in exclusive charge of the aged's jobs within the limit of the budget.
- (2) The Mayor may, in case of entrusting the project of creating the aged's jobs, support the partial amount of management expenses to the trustee within the limit of the budget.
