Busan Lifelong Learning Information in One Place—“Busan Lifelong Learning Platform” Opens Today (30th)

Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Heong-joon) announced that it will launch and operate the newly developed “Busan Lifelong Learning Platform” starting today (30th), integrating information on lifelong learning courses and programs offered in the city’s districts.

The platform was developed with the goal of creating a standardized system to bridge learning gaps and establish a digital learning environment, thereby ensuring equal access to lifelong learning opportunities for all citizens.

Accessible at lll.busan.go.kr, the platform consists of five main categories: ▲Course Registration ▲Institutions/Instructors ▲Lifelong Learning News ▲Key Projects ▲Lifelong Learning Cities. It provides essential information for users and allows them to search and register for lifelong learning programs all in one place.

The entire learning process has been automated—from course creation, instructor assignment, and learning space reservations, to attendance tracking after class starts, certificate issuance upon completion, and satisfaction surveys.

In particular, the platform provides personalized learning services that automatically recommend the most suitable programs for each user based on their learning history and preferences, helping learners systematically manage their educational journeys.

In addition to offering integrated course and program information from districts across the city, Busan Metropolitan City plans to expand the platform’s services in stages to include course registration and information from local university lifelong education centers and private lifelong learning providers.

Meanwhile, the “Busan Lifelong Learning Platform Development Project” was launched in December 2024 to provide customized lifelong education services to citizens and manage learning histories, enabling data-driven policy formulation.

Kim Gwi-ok, Director General of the Youth-Industry-Academia Cooperation Bureau of Busan Metropolitan City, stated, “With the launch of the Busan Lifelong Learning Platform, we have created an environment that allows citizens to participate in lifelong learning more easily and conveniently.” She added, “Through personalized learning recommendation services, we will realize a ‘15-minute Lifelong Learning City, Busan,’ where everyone can access learning opportunities anytime, anywhere.”
