Busan Museum to Launch “Museum Yomi-Zomi – The Museum is Alive (History Edition)” Program

The Busan Museum (hereinafter referred to as “the Museum”) announced that it will operate the 2025 Museum Yomi-Zomi – The Museum is Alive (History Edition) education program (hereinafter referred to as “the Program”) for preschool groups and individual children visiting the museum from June 2 to 7.

“Museum Yomi-Zomi” is the Museum’s flagship educational program for young children, launched in 2015. It is a play-centered program that integrates the museum’s collection with creative activities. It is offered annually with various themes and is linked to the national early childhood education curriculum (Nuri Curriculum), providing customized history education for young children.

This year’s program is designed as a play-based integrated education experience using storytelling animations and artifact character coloring activities, based on artifacts displayed in the museum’s Busan Hall.

Notably, the program has expanded its audience this year to include not only preschool groups but also individual children who visit the museum.

Overview of the 2025 Museum Yomi-Zomi – The Museum is Alive (History Edition)

• ●Target Participants: Preschool groups (kindergartens, daycare centers, ages 6–7) and individual young visitors

• ●Location: For groups – designated classrooms / For individual visitors – Dongnaegwan Cultural Experience Center

• ●Program Content: Storytelling animation, artifact character coloring books, and other educational content

• ●Registration:

• ○Preschool groups: Online registration via the Museum website from 10:00 AM on June 2 (Mon) to 5:00 PM on June 17 (Tue)

• ○Individual children: On-site registration at the Dongnaegwan Cultural Experience Center from July 1 (Tue)

• ●Participation Fee: Free of charge

Preschool groups wishing to participate can register on the Museum’s website (museum.busan.go.kr/busan) from June 2 at 10:00 AM to June 17 at 5:00 PM, on a first-come, first-served basis.

Individual visitors may register on-site at the Dongnaegwan Cultural Experience Center starting July 1. Participation is free, and registration will also be on a first-come, first-served basis.

Among the educational content, the storytelling animation will be uploaded to the Museum’s official YouTube channel, and the artifact character coloring kits will be mailed to group applicants so that teachers can conduct the lessons independently.

Children who visit the museum individually can receive a coloring book on-site after registration and enjoy the activity in the specially prepared space inside the Dongnaegwan.
