The 30th Busan Sea Festival will take place at Dadaepo Beach. The weeklong event begins on Aug. 7 with a spectacular fireworks display. Visitors can look forward to live performances, hands-on activities, great food and seaside attractions.Making the most of its scenic coastal setting, the Busan Sea Festival will feature three signature zones where people of all ages can relax, play and enjoy summer days and nights. Dadae Pocha will be one of Korea’s largest beachfront food and beverage areas with seating for around 2,000 people and an events stage for live performances.Sunset Beach Club will combine music, wellness and nightlife with areas for yoga and singing bowl meditation programs, as well as a bar and DJ-led EDM performances to keep the party going all night long.The newest edition is Cheongchun Haebang, organized and operated by local university students. The zone will showcase the creativity, passion and energy of the city’s younger generation.Families will also find plenty to enjoy. Dadae Beach Market will offer handmade crafts and vintage goods. Children can cool off at the Fountain Playground. Songdo Beach Opens July 1As the vacation period gets underway in Seo-gu, Songdo Beach officially began its annual operations on July 1, with activities continuing through August 31.To maintain a secure and comfortable environment, new anti-jellyfish nets were installed in response to the increasing presence of jellyfish linked to higher ocean temperatures. A total of 33 lifeguards are on duty, one more than last year.The Kids Love Zone, designed for young children, features a seawater pool, paddle boats, and shaded canopies to better accommodate families. Located by the waterfront in front of the Songdo Sports Center, it runs from July 18 to August 17.The Songdo Marine Diving Board, the only one of its kind in Korea, is in service daily from 10:00 to 17:00 throughout the summer months. For safety reasons, access is limited to the three-meter platform, and feet-first entry is required.The 22nd Hyeonin Song Festival takes place on August 1–2 on a special stage, where aspiring vocalists showcase their talents and popular artists deliver celebratory performances.The 2026 Enjoy Songdo event is scheduled for July 25–26 and August 1–2, with a variety of hands-on programs that families, friends, and couples can participate in while creating lasting memories.Inquiries: Seo-gu Office (051-240-4126)https://www.busan.go.kr/eng/beaches
