Busan Gyeongnam Race Park does not want to remain just a horseracing park, but seeks to develop into a mega leisure complex.

It announced its new plan saying, "The city of Busan lowered its leisure tax as of December 3rd, and Geyoungnam province will also lower its leisure tax this year. We will use the tax deduction of 8,660 million won to build a free leisure sports complex for the citizens."

Its major projects for the next five years, 2006 to 2010, will include building an amusement park with 1.5 kilo meters of Pony Express, Viking, Merry-Go-Round and other rides, along with beautiful organic theme gardens.

Moreover, a historical museum, multi-media center and a two-level sports complex equipped with golf practice area, pools, badminton courts, and more to promote public health will be added.

Busan Gyeongnam Race Park is already known as a tourist attraction and is also suitable for families to enjoy their weekends.
