Look for these Festivals in October in Busan

2004 Busan Jagalchi Culture Tourism Festival, which is the nation’s largest marine product festival, will begin on for the 13th and continue for five days. The festival will be held in Namhang and Jagalchi markets. This is the 13th Jagalchi Festival and is expected to represent the region with events like “Making Jagalchi Monument” and “I am the Jagalchi Ajima.”

Also there are several other traditional cultural events scheduled for October in Busan. “The First Shanghai Street Festival” will be held from the 8th and continue for the next three days around Busan Station Square and Shanghai Street. It is full of traditional Korean and Chinese culture events. Another festival is the Sasang Riverside Sports Festival. It starts on the 7th and continues until the 9th. There will be many events like riverside concerts and a family choir contest. The Geumjeong Art Festival will start on the 17th at the Geumjeong Culture Center and continue for the next 8 days. The festival’s theme is “The Long History of Beautiful Geumjeong.” There will be cultural events that demonstrate the harmonizing of traditional and modern life. These include agriculture music, historic music, a rock festival, a hip-hop dance contest and many others. The fourth one is the “Seomyeon Culture and Art Festival” on the 7th and 8th at the square in front of Younggwang bookstore. An outdoor stage has been erected in front of Milliore Department store.
