PIFF Organizing Committee Contributes 1% of Ticket Sales to Poor and 1,000 Seats to the Disabled

Members of the PIFF organizing committee and PIFF volunteers were at Busan Judi’s Taehwa Department Store on the 3rd. Though they were busy preparing for the opening of the 9th PIFF on the 7th, they hosted an event called “Beautiful Day,” in which they delivered gifts and donated their one-day earnings to the poor.

Kim Dong-ho, the head of the committee, said, “PIFF is made up of Busan citizens and next year is our tenth anniversary, so we thought one way to show our appreciation to the public for their support would be an annual ‘Beautiful Day.’”

About 600 volunteers and committee members collected some 700 donations and delivered them to the “Beautiful Store.” The committee plans to donate 1% of ticket sales to the “Beautiful Foundation” and allocate one thousand seats for the disabled who are likely to remain isolated without special accommodations.
