APEC Summit Dates Are Fixed

Next year’s APEC Summit Meeting is scheduled to open November 11 and close November 18. It will include 15 rounds of talks addressing a variety of concerns. On October 13, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade officials announced that preparatory summit meetings, senior officials meetings (SOM), and many minister conferences will be organized in Jaeju, Seoul, Daegu, and other places.

A conference for Ministers of Trade is slated to be held November 5 through 6 on Jaeju Island. A 3rd round of SOM will be held in September in Gyeongju, and a conference for Financial Ministers will be in Gyeongju in September. The 4th round of SOM will take place November 13 through 14 and a Joint Council of Ministers meeting will be held 15 through 16 concurrently with the APEC Summit in Busan.
