Various Events for Children’s Day in Busan

On May 5, Children's Day and Buddha's Birthday, there were a variety of events in Busan for children. And a host of Buddhists participated in events held in temples throughout the city.

"Events for Busan Children" were held under the auspices of
Busan City, the Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education, and the Busan Ilbo. A wide range of activities and festivities took place in the Busan Asiad Stadium, such as a painting contest for children, writing contest, and a three-day market where people can buy, sell or exchange their belongings or crafts.

The Busan Metropolitan Police Agency opened its main building, Podoli Nara, for the Busan Police Historical Exhibition for children. The Busan Coast Guard invited 600 children to its vessels in Saha-gu. In honor of Buddha's Birthday, major temples in Busan, including
Beomeo Temple and Samgwang Temple, held various events for the well-being of Korea and the health of their followers.
