On March 3, 2014, using the popular Weibo, Youku and Yahoo microblogging websites, the City of Busan launched its newly designed blogging service to promote the city to Chinese and Japanese tourists.

The City of Busan will not only be able to respond to user’s comments and messages in real time, but will also be able to provide up-to-date news and information about the city relating to tourism, culture, major events and festivals.
An opening event will be held until March 24 on Busan’s Weibo and Yahoo! Japan blog sites, and those wishing to participate in the event can simply follow the city’s blog and leave a comment about why you like Busan. The most popular comment will be awarded a hotel voucher with second place receiving two guest house vouchers. Bracelets, post cards, and other small prizes will also be given away to randomly selected participants.
The City of Busan has been operating a Facebook page (www.facebook.com/DynamicBusan) and Youtube channel (www.youtube.com/DynamicBusan) for English users since 2012.
Busan’s English Facebook site has over 45,000 fans around the world and the city’s Youtube channel has a total of 320 videos with more than two million combined views.
