The Busan Cinema Center will begin to provide English subtitles for all the newest Korean movies.
The English subtitle service for Korean movies aims to provide the opportunity for foreigners visiting Busan to watch Korean movies and also to experience Korean culture.
To begin with, two Korean movies, ‘The Battle of Myeongnyang’ which set a record by reaching 16 million tickets sold, and ‘The Pirates’ will screen with English subtitles starting September 3.
The Busan Cinema Center strives to show a variety of Korean films not only commercial blockbusters.
‘Golden Chariot in the Sky,’ a film about the pleasant journey of music band will also screen with English subtitles from September 4 in the small theater at the Busan Cinema Center.
The Busan Cinema Center’s English subtitle service is expected to help promote Busan as a City of Film to foreign visitors and increase the popularity of Korean movies. More Korean films with English subtitles will be screened at Busan Cinema Center in the coming months.
Movies with English subtitles will cost the same as other movies screening at Busan Cinema Center. The schedule for Korean movies with English subtitles will be announced on the Busan Cinema Center website at http://www.dureraum.org.
