Busan has announced that it will display a message on Gwangandaegyo bridge, Hwangnyeongsan Viewing Lounge and Busan Tower at Yongdusan Park to support its campaign to host the 2030 World Expo in Busan every night at 8:30 p.m.

The promotional event will go on until a host for the event is decided. The display message will say ‘2030 부산세계박람회 유치를 기원합니다’ in Korean, meaning ‘We wish to host the 2030 World Expo in Busan.’

Through this event, the city will spur citizens’ support to host the 2030 World Expo in Busan and form a public consensus nationwide. The city plans to extend the promotion elsewhere in Busan in order for people to feel the strong aspiration of the city to host the World Expo 2030 in Busan.

The city plans to promote the campaign using all promotional media which the city, gu and gun offices, and related public agencies have available. The illumination of seven bridges in Busan (Gwangandaegyo bridge, Busanhangdaegyo bridge, Yeongdodaegyo bridge, Namhangdaegyo bridge, Eulsukdodaegyo bridge, Sinhodaegyo bridge and Gadeokdaegyo bridge) are planned as part of the promotion.
