Start Your Farming Journey in Busan: Busan Agricultural Technology Center to Recruit Trainees for the “Young Farmers DREAM-TEAM” Program

Busan Metropolitan City Agricultural Technology Center (hereinafter referred to as the Center) announced that it will operate the “2026 Young Farmers DREAM-TEAM Settlement Support Training Program (34th Returning-to-Farming and Rural Living Course)” for Busan citizens who wish to return to farming or rural life.

The program is designed to help participants acquire the fundamental competencies required to prepare for returning to farming and rural areas by combining theoretical instruction with hands-on training.

The training will be conducted at the Center and will run for a total of 15 sessions every Wednesday from March 25 to July 1, from 13:30 to 17:30.

The theoretical component will focus on essential knowledge for prospective farmers, including understanding policies related to returning to farming and rural life, agricultural management strategies, basic understanding of facility cultivation, and soil management.

The practical component will include small garden cultivation practice and visits to local farms. The program will be offered twice a year, once in the first half and once in the second half of the year, providing continuous educational opportunities for citizens interested in returning to farming.

Any Busan citizen may apply for the training. Applications will be accepted through the Busan Integrated Reservation System at https://reserve.busan.go.kr/index from March 11 to March 13. Final selection results will be individually notified on March 17.

Applications can be submitted through the Busan Integrated Reservation System from 10:00 on March 11 to 18:00 on March 13. After the application deadline, trainees will be fairly selected through a randomized computerized draw using the Unipicker program, and the results will be individually notified on March 17.
