Run, chase, repeat: Taejongdae goes undead for Halloween

The 2026 Taejongdae BEAT ON Zombie Race sends costumed runners along a 4-kilometer course through Taejongdae’s coastal trails, starting at 4:44 p.m.The race will be centered on CGV Drive-In Yeongdo, where participants will gather at 3:30 p.m. The course will climb past the observatory and Taejongsa Temple before finishing at the drive-in parking lot.The run will be only part of the night. In the "Chase the 30 Humans" mission, zombie runners will hunt down 30 human participants. A "NewJeansNim EDM Party" will feature the Buddhism-themed DJ act, and a costume contest will reward the most striking zombie look. A performance from the upper deck of a Busan City Tour Bus will round out the lineup.Early-bird tickets cost 39,000 won for the first 1,000 entrants and are available only with Quick Pay (퀵결제). Another 1,000 special-rate tickets are available for 45,000 won, followed by 2,000 regular tickets for 50,000 won. It is a time for families to come together and give thanks for the autumn harvest. Although the Chuseok holiday usually spans three days, it extends to four days this year, from Thursday, September 24, through Sunday, September 27. Domoheon Open for Chuseok Holidays on September 26–27
□ Domoheon will opens its doors from September 26 to 27, 2026, during the Chuseok holiday and presents a variety of cultural and interactive events for visitors.○ Hours are 10:00 to 20:00 on Saturday, September 26, and 10:00 to 18:00 on Sunday, September 27.○ The facility is closed on September 24 and 25.□ The main building, Sosopung Garden, and café welcome guests to embrace art and relaxation in the heart of the city.○ From 17:00 to 18:00 on September 26, an outdoor jazz concert, ‘Busan, Colored by Jazz II,’ takes place at Sosopung Garden. Admission is free on a first-come, first-served basis, with attendance limited to 300.○ Folk games and hands-on booths can also be enjoyed at the main building and Sosopung Garden. Those wishing to join a garden program scheduled for September 27 may reserve their spots via the Domoheon website (busan.go.kr/domoheon).○ Domoheon Deullaknallak Children’s Library remains closed on September 26 and operates as usual on September 27.□ Domoheon has expanded its role to not only serve as a communal space for general visitors but also as a venue for international exchanges and civic initiatives.○ In August, Domoheon hosted the 2026 Traveling Craft Masterpieces Exhibition, organized by the Korea Craft Design Foundation, highlighting fine craftworks.
