Busan Metropolitan City, the Busan Intra-City Bus Transportation Business Association and the Busan Design Center have been working on the Busan City Bus Design Improvement Project since April to meet the demand of the public for a unique bus design for Busan and to improve the city image. The current Busan city bus design was first introduced in 2000 and has remained for the last 16 years until now.
The
Busan Design Center will conduct a public preference survey for three basic
plans for the project from September 24 -30.
The
project will change the colors and exterior designs of Busan City buses, which
has two types of buses – City Buses and City Express buses. Currently, the
color of the City Bus is blue and the City Express is red. The color of the buses
will remain a cold color for one and a warm color for the other.

City Hall lobby, Busan Station bus stops and three locations among the bus
stops in Seomyeon.
Busan
City and the Busan Design Center plan to present the final design within the
next month, after developing detailed designs based on the results of the public
preference survey.
