“Uri Garak, Uri Madang” Folk Performance to Be Held every Sunday at Busan Citizens Park

The Busan Cultural Foundation will hold its regular traditional folk performance, “Uri Garak, Uri Madang” at Busan Citizens Park every Sunday from June at 2 p.m. (until 3:30 p.m.) The venue was changed to the Trace Theater in Busan Citizens Park from Yondusan Park earlier this year.It should be noted that during July and August, the “Uri Garak, Uri Madang” performance will be held every Sunday from 5 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.
For the enjoyment of visitors from home and abroad, the park is also hosting a variety of other free traditional folk performances including Samulnori, Pansori, Fusion Gukak (Korean traditional music) and traditional dances that are scheduled to be held by Busan-based traditional cultural art groups.
A number of side events will also be held from 1 p.m. including traditional mask painting, folk plays, hoop rolling, neolttwigi (a jumping game enjoyed using a Korean-style seesaw), and Jegichagi (a traditional Korean outdoor game).
Free traditional folk performances including intangible cultural assets will also be held every Saturday from 2 p.m. at Yongdusan Park.
