In addition to providing tourists with information, starting March 1 the Busan Tourist Information Center (TIC) now offers a reservation and credit card payment service for accommodation and tourism facilities in Busan.

The Busan Metropolitan City has decided to substantially expand the function of the TICs located at the major areas of the city. The TIC now provides domestic and foreign tourists not only with tourist information but also a 'One-Stop' service for checking room availability, making reservations and paying for accommodation. Tourists can also purchase entrance tickets for popular tourist attractions in advance as well.

Busan City will establish an agency booking system for accommodations and tourism facilities at 9 TICs, located at the Domestic and International terminals at Gimhae International Airport, the International Ferry Terminal, Busan Sports Complex (Sajik Stadium), Seomyeon Subway Station, the Foreign Service Center in Chinatown (opposite Busan Station), BEXCO and the Busan City Hall. The city plans to establish the system at a total of 12 centers by the end of the year.

The ‘One-Stop’ accommodation service at the TIC currently covers 30 establishments, including deluxe hotels, most tourist hotels, Haeundae Glory Condo condominium, Arpina Youth Hostel, the Sea Cloud and BEXCO Centum residence hotels, and 4 other motels.

Tourists can purchase tickets in advance for 4 tourist facilities, including the Haeundae Aquarium, Tiffany 21 Cruise, Dongbaek Cruise and Haeundae Cultural Center.

Busan City is planning to gradually establish the 'One-Stop' service system at other TICs in Busan. "The accommodation booking system and the tourism facilities at the Tourism Information Center will make life more convenient for tourists, thereby helping to attract more tourists to Busan", a city official said.
