The New Year Festival Busan, Korea (Busan Sunrise Festival)  is the largest winter tourism festival held in Korea. Consisting of land, air, and ocean  activities such as a boat parade, an air show, and a concert, it is a festival highlighting the special characteristics of a coastal city, Busan. Every year, hundreds of thousands of people come to Busan to greet the sunrise of the New Year and enjoy various programs. Last year, about 700,000 visitors came to the festival.

Citizen's Bell Tolling Ceremony

It is an event to bid farewell to the outgoing year(Year of Eulyu) and greet the incoming year(Year of Byeongsul) and wish for the prosperity of Busan and happiness of 4 million Busan residents. On a large display board, count down starts 10 seconds before midnight. Everyone counts down together and the bell tolls at midnight on the dot.
