“Five Oceans and Six Continents” Eco Park to be Set Up at Eulsukdo Island

On a land of 660,000 m2 at Eulsukdo Island, Saha-gu, Busan, a new ecological park named “Five Oceans and Six Continents Eco Park” will be established to develop tourism resources and lay a strong groundwork for Busan City’ tourism industry.

 

Additionally, the areas around Jagalchi Market, Gukje Market, the second Lotte World in Jung-gu will be designated as a special shopping district later in the year.

 

Busan City announced that it will implement the 4th Busan Tourism Development Plan.

 

According to the 4th Five-Year Busan Tourism Development Plan by 2011, the Eco Park resembling the Five Oceans and the Six Continents with a size of 660,000 m2 will be created in northern Eulsukdo Island.

After designating the area along Jagalchi Market, Gukje Market and the second Lotte World in Jung-gu as a special shopping district later this year, Busan City will link this shopping district with the existing streets tailored to culture and tourism including PIFF Square and 40 steps theme street to attract more foreign tourists.
