Air Busan, which began its Busan-Hong Kong flights in May 2011, became the first domestic airliner to begin a daily Busan-Macao flight last July. Traveling to Macao and Hong Kong has become quite popular.

Malaysia’s Air Asia X, which began its Busan-Narita route last November, will begin its Busan-Kuala Lumpur flight this coming July. Air Asia X flies diverse routes via Kuala Lumpur, the location of its headquarters, to destinations such as Europe, Australia, India and Southeast Asia. Philippine Airlines also began a Busan-Boracay direct flight on April 11.

A flight to Kalibo, Philippines, which runs once a week, leaves Busan at 8:10 p.m. and arrives at 11:35 p.m. on Thursdays, while flights from Kalibo to Busan leave every Sunday at 2:10 p.m.

Passengers arriving at Kalibo Airport must travel by road for one hour and then take a small boat to get to Boracay.
