Busan City to recruit City Monitors

Busan City is looking for Busan residents who are interested in monitoring inconveniences in daily life and collecting citizens’ opinions about the city administration and public policy projects in order to help make a better city. We actively encourage you to participate in this program.

 

1. Details

  ○ How many: 300 people

  ○ Application Period: November 18 ~ December 17, 2010

○ Qualifications: Any Busan residents who wish to participate, including foreign residents.

○ Job Description: Report any inconveniences facing citizens in daily life, and collect citizens’ opinions about

the city administration and public policy projects. 

   Report any suggestions or comments about living in Busan, as a foreign resident of Busan.               

  ○ Monitoring Period: Jan. 1, 2011 Dec. 31, 2012 (2 years)

○ Pay: All city monitors work on a voluntary basis, for no pay.

○ Benefits:

Receive Busan City Newspaper and magazine

Receive a free movie ticket for movies shown every Monday at Busan Citizens’ Hall

           Awards for best performing monitors  

Opportunities to enjoy city tour programs

  ○ Other

      If a monitor fails to carry out their duties properly over a period of 2 months, he or she may be dismissed.

2. How to apply

  ○ Online Registration at http://www.busan.go.kr (Currently Only in Korean) "Pop up zone"

○ Monitors, one selected, will be notified by email or other means by Tuesday, December 28, 2010.
