and information searches available in May

Busan Exhibition & Convention Center or Bexco is transformed into a cutting-edge, high-tech space.  Bexco will operate ubiquitous exhibition and convention systems from May after a trial operation in April.  It will be the first Korean exhibition and convention center system to be equipped with such a system.  Bexco will issue viewers and participants cards with radio frequency identification, or RFID, chips and bar codes.  As card holders pass the entrance, the number of people who enter will be automatically calculated.  Viewers will be able to search for information through terminals installed at each exhibition booth.

The convention hall will be also transformed into a cutting-edge service space.  A big screen 14 meters wide and five meters long, capable of showing six different feeds simultaneously is being installed at the front of the convention room.

The automatic voice and visual tracer that was first used at the 2005 APEC summit will be installed permanently at Bexco.  The machine senses the location of a speaker using its tracking camera during meetings and shows the speaker on the screen.  It's the first time this system has been introduced in the nation. Busan started these developments last July, earmarking 4.1 billion won ($4.3 million).
