Torch for PyeongChang World Winter Special Olympics 2013 has arrived in Busan

The Olympic torch for the PyeongChang Special Olympics World Winter Games 2013 which has been lit in Athens, Greece on January 17, 2013, arrived in Busan on January 25.
Busan City hosted Olympic torch welcome ceremony and celebrated the PyeongChang Special Olympics World Winter Games 2013.
The Special Olympics is for children and adults with intellectual disabilities and is held biennially, alternating between winter and summer Games. It is separate from the Paralympic Games, which are held after the summer and winter Olympics for athletes with physical disabilities.
The PyeongChang Special Olympics World Winter Games 2013 will take place from January 29 to February 5 for eight days in PyeongChang under the slogan of ‘Together We Can.’
The Olympic torch arrived at Incheon International Airport on January 19 and begun its journey round Korea in Gwanghwamun Plaza in Seoul on January 23.
The Olympic torch relay runners consist of 56 foreigners, 13 Koreans with intellectual disabilities. The police will also assist.
The Olympic torch arrived at the Busan Cinema Center on January 25 in the afternoon after travelling through Chungbuk, Gyeongbuk, Gimhae in Gyeongnam.
Orchestra performances by the naval band along with musicians with intellectual disabilities took place and a Navy guard of honor greeted the arrival of the torch at Busan Cinema Center.
The Flame of Hope will continue to travel from Busan to Jeju and Gangneung-si until it reaches the Opening Ceremony of the Special Olympics World Winter Games in PyeongChang on January 29.
Another Olympic torch which travelled through Gyeonggi, Incheon, Cheonnam and Daejeon will also at the Opening Ceremony at the same time to light the stadium cauldron which will continue to burn throughout the Games.
