Busan College of Information Technology said on November 24 that it signed an agreement with Robert Bosch Korea Mechanics & Electronics for recycling service.
With this contract won by college company BIT Car Service (BCS), BCS will participate in the recycling of common rail direct injection (CRDi) and turbo chargers.
It is CRDi and turbo charger developed by Bosch, which have made drastic improvement in noise and smoke, the biggest complaints for diesel cars, and created current diesel cars. It cost quite an amount to exchange these high-priced parts and if recycled, the cost comes down by half, the reason for growing demands.
But, labor and facilities to recycle these high-tech components are insufficient.
In order to solve this problem, Bosch Korea will cooperate with BCS to train necessary workforce and secure recycled components.
For this, Bosch will give old components and BCS with high-priced equipments to recycle the components will give the recycled components to the repair shops.
In addition, using the students of the college in automotive and mechanics major for the recycling will help training the currently lacking manpower.
A school official said, "The recycling service not only secures steady educational funds but also gives an opportunity to train high-quality manpower with field experience. We expect to contribute to raising the human resources needed for automotive parts industry which Busan is focusing on as one of its strategic industries."
