The much awaited 4th edition of Swedish Film Festival is ready to welcome the audience in Busan and Gwangju with its 2015 program under the theme of ‘New Life’, starting from November 6.
Famous
for its legendary artists such as Ingmar Bergman, Swedish cinema has been
particularly highlighted this year on the occasion of the centenary of Swedish
actress Ingrid Bergman’s birth. Cannes International Film Festival 2015
commemorated it officially, as well as the Swedish film ‘Ingrid Bergman: In Her
Own Words’ meets Korean audience in October.
This
year’s selection of Swedish Film Festival focuses especially how the life
changes when we face either a crisis or an opportunity. Starting from the
opening film ‘Stockholm Stories’ featured by the most talented Swedish young
actors, the brilliant collaboration of the director Lisa Langseth and Alicia
Vicander ‘Hotel’, fantastic musical journey ‘Shed No Tears’ with the music
contribution of a legendary musician Håkan Hellström, a romantic comedy of a
superficial, appearance-focused young man losing his sight ‘Ego’, a true story
about bullying and the power ‘A Reunion’, all about Ingmar Bergman told by the
greatest directors and actors ‘Trespassing Bergman’, memories from Paris about
a lost love and time ‘Belleville Baby’, parents’ divorce story as an end and a
start ‘A Separation’ are all not to be missed.
Swedish
Film Festival 2015 will be held from November 6-12 in Busan. Some screenings
will be followed by special events such as Guest Appearance, including Karin
Fahlén, the director of ‘Stockholm Stories’
