Publication of Taste of Busan 2026

□ Busan Metropolitan City has issued the Taste of Busan 2026 guidebook, which showcases notable restaurants and its gastronomy.

□ Taste of Busan outlines Busan’s signature fare, ingredients, and a range of elements, focused on establishments carefully curated each year under its own criteria and evaluation process.

○ The 2026 edition covers 146 eateries, along with area-specific characteristics and engaging stories in four languages—Korean, English, Chinese, and Japanese—and illustrates the diversity and appeal of Busan’s culinary scene.

□ It goes beyond simply recommending places to eat by reflecting a regional ecosystem perspective that encompasses the entire cycle from production to consumption.

○ Chef interviews and introductions to innovative stakeholders (e.g., Urban Farmer Agricultural Corporation) highlight the significance of local produce and cuisine. Food districts and native specialties further underscore Busan’s distinctive food culture in a multidimensional way.

* Appendix with major food districts: Food Town at Myeongji Happy Village, Jagalchi Beef Tripe Street

** 13 indigenous dishes: Dongnae Pajeon (green onion pancake), sliced raw fish, black goat Bulgogi, grilled hagfish, braised monkfish, Nakjibokkeum (spicy stir-fried small octopus), braised crucian carp, grilled conger eel, Milmyeon (cold wheat noodle), Dwaejigukbap (pork soup), Bokguk (pufferfish soup), Haemultang (spicy seafood soup), Jaecheopguk (freshwater clam soup)

○ B-FOOD Recipe Season 3 comprises finger food items developed in collaboration with Busan’s certified producers, thereby contributing to the expansion of homegrown food content.

□ QR-code-based multilingual menus from 50 selected restaurants under the city’s Multilingual Digital Menu Project are included to improve convenience for inbound visitors.

○ The menus are available in seven languages: ▲ English, ▲ Simplified Chinese, ▲ Traditional Chinese, ▲ Japanese, ▲ Vietnamese, ▲ Russian, and ▲ Arabic.

□ Taste of Busan 2026 can be viewed online or downloaded via visitbusan.net > Traveler Guides > Guidebook & Map.

○ Printed copies are also provided at featured restaurants, tourist information centers, consulates, the Busan Tourism Organization, and relevant municipal divisions.

○ Starting in mid-April, portable photo cards about featured restaurants will be distributed free of charge at tourist information centers, making it easy to explore Busan’s offerings enjoyably.
