□ On February 3, 2026, Busan Metropolitan City unveiled a revamped website for foreign residents under the brand ‘My Busan,’ formerly known as ‘Life in Busan.’
○ Launched in 2006, Life in Busan delivers ▲ the latest news, ▲ everyday living tips, and ▲ learning materials in print. To enhance accessibility, it transitioned online in 2015.
○ Over a decade later, it was renewed as My Busan to reorganize scattered guidance into an easier-to-navigate format.
□ My Busan houses the following topics in 57 languages: ▲ daily essentials, ▲ administration, ▲ visas, ▲ medical care, ▲ education, ▲ employment & startups, ▲ settlement assistance, and ▲ colleges, among others.
○ The name ‘My Busan’ embodies the hope that expatriates, workers, and students will feel a sense of ownership and belonging in Busan, emphasizing that Busan can truly be called ‘my city.’
○ My Busan boasts refined category segments, Korean-English parallel labeling, and broadened, needs-based resources.
□ A new ‘Study in Busan’ category is designed to aid international students’ adaptation, responding to escalating demand driven by rising study-abroad enrollments.
○ It covers key aspects of campus experience, including local schools, support initiatives, and step-by-step procedures.
□ The city will continue to manage and oversee My Busan, progressively upgrading its content to benefit site users.
□ Mayor Park Heong-joon remarked, “I am confident that My Busan will function as a one-stop portal that allows foreigners to effortlessly find the information they require upon arrival to the city. Equipped with practical tools, we will make Busan a home where global citizens also want to thrive.”
