Regular Ticket Sales for Paid Seating at the 21st Busan Fireworks Festival, to Be Held on November 7, Begin Today, September 4

Busan Metropolitan City, led by Mayor Chun Jae-soo, and the Busan Festivals Committee announced that official sales of paid seating for the 21st Busan Fireworks Festival, scheduled for November 7, will begin today, September 4, at 2:00 p.m.

As one of Busan's signature tourism attractions, the Busan Fireworks Festival will present a special production this year commemorating the 21st anniversary of the opening of the Gwangan Bridge. The festival is expected to illuminate the autumn night sky with a more dynamic and diverse fireworks display than ever before.

Two types of paid seating will be available: R Seats, which include tables and chairs, and S Seats, which consist of chairs only.

Tickets are priced at KRW 100,000 for R Seats and KRW 70,000 for S Seats. The viewing area will be set up on the sandy beach in front of Hotel Aqua Palace and Homers Hotel in Gwangalli.

Tickets can be purchased through NOL Ticket and the Busan Bank mobile banking app. In-person sales will be available at all Busan Bank branches for S Seats only.

Early-bird tickets, which went on sale on August 26, sold out completely within one minute, once again demonstrating the strong interest in and popularity of the Busan Fireworks Festival.

In particular, the allocation for advance reservations through overseas inbound travel agencies sold out early this year, while inquiries have continued to come in from multinational travel agencies, including those in Taiwan.

Combined with the expected increase in visitors to Korea following the introduction of visa-free entry for Chinese group tourists, the festival is anticipated to attract even more international visitors this autumn.

For the first time this year, Busan Metropolitan City is offering Busan residents a 10% discount on both R Seats and S Seats, allowing each person to purchase up to four discounted tickets so that residents can enjoy the fireworks festival at a more affordable price.

This marks the first festival ticket benefit specifically for Busan residents and is intended to bring the city's signature festival closer to local residents while sharing the enjoyment and value of the event with them.

Discounted tickets can be purchased through NOL Ticket, the Busan Bank mobile banking app, or Busan Bank branches. All discounted ticket holders must collect physical tickets at the venue on the day of the event.

Those who booked through NOL Ticket can collect their tickets at the NOL Ticket collection booth, while residents who purchased through the Busan Bank mobile banking app or at a Busan Bank branch can collect their tickets at the Busan Bank booth. However, regular NOL Ticket purchases that do not receive the Busan resident discount may be delivered in advance.

For purchases made at Busan Bank branches, residency in Busan will be verified at the time of purchase. For online bookings, both the person who made the reservation and any accompanying guests must present identification at the venue on the day of the event. If the identification does not show a Busan address, a resident registration certificate issued within the previous three months must also be presented. Those who fail to provide the required documentation will be required to pay the difference between the discounted price and the regular price.

All proceeds from ticket sales will be reinvested to enhance the overall quality of the festival, including expanding the scale of the fireworks display, strengthening convenience and safety infrastructure for spectators, and creating jobs through the additional hiring of event operations and security personnel.
