Busan Museum of Art Recruits Volunteers for Special Reopening Exhibitions

Busan Museum of Art is recruiting volunteers to support its special reopening exhibitions ahead of its reopening on September 17.

The museum will recruit a total of 33 volunteers per day to assist with exhibition artwork management. Volunteers will help maintain order among visitors in the galleries, ensure the safety of artworks, and provide visitor guidance at the information desk.

Volunteer activities will be conducted in three time slots from Tuesday through Sunday, excluding Mondays when the museum is closed.

Applicants may choose from three time slots: 10:00 a.m. to noon, noon to 2:00 p.m., or 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Any adult interested in art who is at least 19 and under 60 years of age, born between 1966 and 2007, is eligible to participate. Those wishing to volunteer may apply through the 1365 Volunteer Portal at https://www.1365.go.kr. After applying, volunteers may visit the museum’s main building on their selected date and time without any separate approval process.

Meanwhile, Busan Museum of Art will reopen on September 17, presenting its new direction and transformed spaces.

Following its reopening, the museum will present four exhibitions that explore its new role and direction beyond the boundaries between the international and the local, as well as between space and genre.

The exhibitions will include the international exhibition “Future Museology”; “Yet We Are Still on the High Waves of This Sea: 1945–1953,” which examines through art the realities of the period following Korea’s liberation and around the Korean War; “The Museum of All These Yesterdays,” which explores the museum’s spaces and significance through its collection resources; and the children’s exhibition “Secure Base,” designed to offer experiences related to secure attachment and sensory development.
