Official Website for the Korea Maritime Mobility & Safety Expo 2026 Launches Today, July 24, Ahead of October Event in Busan

Busan Metropolitan City, led by Mayor Chun Jae-soo, and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, led by Minister Hwang Jong-woo, announced that the official website for the Korea Maritime Mobility & Safety Expo 2026, https://kmse.co.kr, will begin operating today, July 24.

Now in its ninth year, the Korea Maritime Mobility & Safety Expo 2026 will be held from October 26 to 28 at the Busan Port International Exhibition & Convention Center, also known as BPEX.

The Expo will be held in conjunction with the 2026 World Maritime Day Parallel Event, jointly hosted by the International Maritime Organization and the Republic of Korea from October 26 to 27, and Korea Maritime Week from October 28 to 29.

The International Maritime Organization, or IMO, is a specialized agency of the United Nations that promotes the development, revision, and implementation of international regulations concerning safety and environmental protection in the shipping and shipbuilding sectors. It has 176 member states and three associate members.

The venue will feature a Smart Autonomous Navigation Technology Pavilion, an Eco-Friendly Mobility and Carbon Neutrality Pavilion, and an Advanced Maritime Safety and AI Disaster Response Pavilion. The Business Pavilion will host export consultation meetings with invited domestic and international buyers, as well as technology briefings. Visitors will also be able to explore a media tunnel showcasing maritime technologies and policies.

Minister of Oceans and Fisheries Hwang Jong-woo said, “I hope this Expo will provide an opportunity to widely promote the competitiveness of Korea’s maritime mobility industry and the excellence of its maritime safety technologies, while supporting Korean companies in expanding into overseas markets.”

Mayor Chun Jae-soo said, “We expect the Korea Maritime Mobility & Safety Expo to serve as a catalyst for Busan, Korea’s maritime capital, to lead the development of global standards in eco-friendly maritime mobility and safety.”
