2026 Busan International Rock Festival to Open General Ticket Sales Tomorrow (July 21), with Ticket Discounts Available Through the Hometown Love Donation Program

Busan Metropolitan City, led by Mayor Chun Jae-soo, announced that official sales of general admission tickets for the 2026 Busan International Rock Festival, Korea's longest-running international rock festival, will begin tomorrow (July 21) at 2:00 p.m. through YES24 Ticket (https://ticket.yes24.com). The festival will take place from October 2 to 4 at Samnak Ecological Park.

The launch of general ticket sales follows the enthusiastic response to the second lineup announcement made on July 16.

The second lineup features an impressive roster of leading domestic and international artists, including Grammy Award-winning American heavy metal legends Megadeth; Jannabi, currently enjoying a successful first Asian tour; Hanroro, whose hit song "I Will Come to Love You" became the most-streamed track of the first half of the year; Xdinary Heroes, known for their powerful band sound and exceptional musicianship; and WOODZ, acclaimed by fans both in Korea and abroad for his distinctive musical style and outstanding performances.

In particular, this year's festival introduces a special benefit linked to the Hometown Love Donation Program. Individuals who make a Hometown Love Donation to Busan Metropolitan City can purchase discounted three-day festival passes through the Hometown Love e-um platform.

This initiative is designed to achieve two objectives simultaneously by combining a regional festival with the donation program: attracting more festival visitors and stimulating the local economy.

Convenience services for visitors traveling from outside the region have also been significantly enhanced. Through the Kakao T application, visitors can conveniently purchase package products that combine festival admission tickets with shuttle bus services.

In addition, the pre-festival promotional program, "Road to BU-ROCK," was successfully held in seven cities in Korea and abroad, including Busan, Seoul, Gwangju, Jeju, Ulsan, Taichung in Taiwan, and Fukuoka in Japan, further strengthening the festival's status as a global event. Participants in Road to BU-ROCK are also eligible for discounts on three-day festival passes.

The "Rookies on the BU-ROCK" program, which aims to discover talented emerging artists, is also progressing successfully.

Following the first round of judging held on July 16, 15 teams were selected. The second round of live performance evaluations is scheduled for July 26.

The teams placing first through third in the final competition will receive prize money as well as the opportunity to perform at the 2027 Busan International Rock Festival. The first- and second-place winners will also receive opportunities to participate in international exchange programs and overseas performances.
