Busan Metropolitan City Selects Five Outstanding Youth Employment Companies for 2026

Busan Metropolitan City announced that it has selected five local companies that have consistently contributed to expanding youth employment and providing high-quality jobs for young people as the 2026 Outstanding Youth Employment Companies. Mayor Chun Jae-soo will personally present the certificates.

The certificate award ceremony will be held today (July 13) at 11:00 a.m. in the International Protocol Room at City Hall. Representatives of the selected companies will receive certificates and certification plaques.

This event marks the first youth employment event since the launch of the ninth elected municipal administration and reflects the city's policy direction of creating a more youth-friendly local employment environment so that young people can find quality jobs in Busan and establish stable lives in the region.

The Outstanding Youth Employment Company program certifies and supports companies selected from among the city's 120 Youth-Attracting Companies based on a comprehensive evaluation of their youth employment growth over the past three years, job quality, working environment, and business growth potential.

This year, a total of 23 companies applied. Following a three-stage evaluation process consisting of document screening, on-site evaluation, and interview assessment, five companies were selected: Geumo Electric Co., Ltd., Social Bean Co., Ltd., CNET Co., Ltd., IQLAB Co., Ltd., and Hanmi Hydraulic Machinery Co., Ltd.

The selected companies have demonstrated leadership over the past three years in expanding youth employment, providing outstanding employee welfare programs, and fostering a healthy work-life balance culture. They are recognized as leading local companies with strong technological capabilities and growth potential across a wide range of industries, including shipbuilding equipment, power semiconductors, information and communications technology, and consumer goods.

In particular, the selected companies include Social Bean Co., Ltd., Busan's first preliminary unicorn company; IQLAB Co., Ltd., a leader in the future power semiconductor industry; Geumo Electric Co., Ltd., a specialist in environmentally friendly shipbuilding equipment; CNET Co., Ltd., a shipbuilding and maritime ICT specialist; and Hanmi Hydraulic Machinery Co., Ltd., a manufacturer specializing in hydraulic machinery for marine engines. The selection has been recognized for representing both the region's key industries and emerging future industries.

The selected Outstanding Youth Employment Companies will receive a certificate and certification plaque, KRW 40 million in Good Workplace Enhancement Support funding, acquisition tax reductions on newly acquired business properties, deferment of local tax audits, and various other incentives.

Busan Metropolitan City plans to expand university partnership programs centered on Outstanding Youth Employment Companies and Youth-Attracting Companies while continuing to strengthen support that enables young people to experience outstanding local companies firsthand and secure employment opportunities.

In addition, the city plans to hold a Mega Job Fair for Youth-Attracting Companies this September to expand networking opportunities between young job seekers and local businesses and actively support successful employment outcomes.
