Busan Metropolitan City Selects 15 Companies as “2026 Outstanding Employment Companies”

Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Heong-joon) and the Busan Economic Promotion Agency announced that they have selected 15 companies as “2026 Outstanding Employment Companies” in recognition of their efforts to create jobs despite challenging economic conditions marked by high interest rates and inflation.

To encourage corporate hiring expansion and foster a culture of job creation, the city has selected and supported Outstanding Employment Companies every year since 2010. Including this year’s recipients, a total of 321 companies have been designated as Outstanding Employment Companies.

Outstanding Employment Companies are businesses operating in Busan across all industries, including manufacturing and services, that have maintained their headquarters and principal place of business in Busan and operated normally for at least three years. As of the end of 2025, eligible companies must have increased their number of regular employees over the previous three years by at least 20 employees for firms with 300 or more employees, at least 15 employees for firms with 100 to 299 employees, and at least 10 employees for firms with fewer than 100 employees.

Through a public call for applications in February, the city received applications from 68 companies. Following document screening, on-site evaluations, and review by the Selection Committee, 15 companies were ultimately chosen as Outstanding Employment Companies.

Among the selected companies, those with 300 or more employees are Daeyang Electric Co., Ltd. (CEO Seo Young-woo), Kaim Co., Ltd. (CEOs Kim Jong-ryul and Park Geon-woo), Work Rehabilitation Hospital (CEO Kim Jae-woo and five others), and Keunsol Hospital of the Youngjae Medical Foundation (CEO Bae Young-il). Companies with 100 to 299 employees include DR Mobility Co., Ltd. (CEOs Lee Tae-hoon and Lee Jeong-hoon), Cowellmedi Co., Ltd. (CEO Choi Hyun-myung), Rocadi Co., Ltd. (CEOs Park Young-wook and Park Ji-sang), and Hansun Engineering Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Je-hoon). Companies with fewer than 100 employees include Newrizen Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Seung-wook), Site Planning Architects & Engineers Co., Ltd. (CEO Han Young-sook), Daebong Machinery Co., Ltd. (CEO Park Jun-seok), ATO Trading Co., Ltd. (CEO Yoon Seong-ung), Just Company Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Beom-jun), Ants Co., Ltd. (CEOs Ahn Tae-sung and Kim Tae-young), and Rope Camp Co., Ltd. (CEO Yoon Kang-ho).

Of the selected companies, 10 are manufacturers and 5 operate in non-manufacturing sectors, including services.

The selected Outstanding Employment Companies will receive certificates and designation plaques, along with KRW 40 million in support for workplace environment improvements. Additional benefits include exemption from acquisition tax on newly acquired business-use real estate and deferment of local tax audits.

The certification is valid for three years. The certificate award ceremony will be held tomorrow (June 16) at 11:00 a.m. in the Grand Conference Room at City Hall, with approximately 50 participants, including representatives of the selected companies.

We will continue to actively identify companies that contribute to quality job creation and regional economic development and provide every possible support to help them grow and prosper further.”
