Women’s Center of Busan Metropolitan City to Recruit Participants for the 2026 Third-Term Education Program

Busan Metropolitan City’s Women’s Center announced that it will begin recruiting participants for the “2026 Third-Term Education Program” starting tomorrow (June 10).

The program will run for approximately three months, from July 6 to September 30, to support citizens’ participation in economic activities such as employment and entrepreneurship, as well as professional skills development for working adults.

A total of approximately 1,700 participants will be recruited for 90 courses across nine fields: crafts, beauty, cooking, coffee, baking and pastry, sewing, foreign languages, computers, and educational materials for older adults. Course schedules may be adjusted depending on the circumstances of individual courses.

In particular, the program will offer certification courses and practical lifestyle education courses that support employment and entrepreneurship, along with evening and weekend classes designed for working adults.

Certification courses include Culinary Technician Certification (Korean Cuisine/Chinese Cuisine), Beautician Certification (Makeup/Nail/General Beauty), Information Technology Qualification Test (ITQ Excel), Basic TOEIC, and Level 2 Coffee Barista Certification.

Evening courses include Level 1 and Level 2 Coffee Barista Certification and foreign language classes (English, Japanese, and Chinese), while weekend courses include Family Home Baking, Clothing Making, and Calligraphy.

Any citizen aged 18 or older who is interested in the courses may apply. Registration will be conducted through priority enrollment, general enrollment, and additional enrollment periods, and applications may be submitted on a first-come, first-served basis through the Women’s Center website (woman.busan.go.kr).

For the Priority Enrollment period, applicants from socially disadvantaged groups, including Basic Livelihood Security recipients and families with multiple children (two or more children), may apply from 9:00 a.m. on June 10 until 6:00 p.m. on June 12.

The first round of General Enrollment will be held from 9:00 a.m. on June 17 to 6:00 p.m. on June 24. Individuals who have enrolled in the same course for four consecutive terms immediately preceding the current term will not be permitted to register for that course during this term.

The second round of General Enrollment will run from 9:00 a.m. on June 25 to 6:00 p.m. on July 3. Courses with enrollment below 60 percent of capacity as of 6:00 p.m. on July 3, the final day of the second round, will be canceled.

Additional Enrollment will take place from 9:00 a.m. on July 6, after courses begin, through 6:00 p.m. on July 12.
