Women’s Cultural Center to Recruit Students for the “2026 Third-Term Cultural Classes”

Busan Metropolitan City Women’s Cultural Center announced that it will begin recruiting students for the “2026 Third-Term Cultural Classes” on June 8.

The Women’s Cultural Center operates its Cultural Classes program to provide citizens with broad opportunities for professional skills development and improved quality of life, while offering a learning environment that meets diverse cultural interests and needs.

The third-term Cultural Classes will run from July 1 to September 23 and will offer a total of 95 courses in five fields: traditional culture, languages, culinary arts, arts, and modern life. In addition to regular courses, evening, weekend, and advanced-level classes will also be available, allowing participants to choose courses suited to their schedules and skill levels.

The curriculum includes a wide range of courses such as traditional culture, cultural arts, employment and entrepreneurship-related training, certification preparation programs, and evening and weekend classes designed for working adults.

Featured courses include Gayageum, Chinese Conversation, Healthy Bread & European Bread Making, Coffee Barista Level 2 Certification, Digital Photography Art, Lifestyle Yoga, and Professional Organization and Storage Specialist Training.

Evening and weekend programs for working adults and weekend learners will also be offered, including a K-Dessert Class, Baking Classes for Working Adults, Pilates & Functional Training, and Travel English.

Applications are open to male and female Busan citizens aged 18 and older and will be accepted online on a first-come, first-served basis through the Busan Integrated Reservation System (reserve.busan.go.kr/index). Individuals who experience difficulty with online applications due to limited digital access may apply through the on-site online application support desk at the Center.

Priority registration for socially disadvantaged groups will be conducted from June 10 to June 13. Eligible applicants, including national merit recipients and their bereaved families or family members, persons with severe disabilities and their caregivers, multi-child families, basic livelihood security recipients, and single-parent family support beneficiaries, may apply within 20 percent of the enrollment quota for each course.

The first round of general registration will be held from June 15 to June 20, and the second round from June 22 to June 27. Additional registration will be available from June 29 to July 11 for any remaining vacancies after the general registration period.

Applications for the first round of general registration will open by field as follows:
① Traditional Culture (15 courses), Languages (6 courses), and Culinary Arts (8 courses): from 09:00 on June 15
② Arts (18 courses) and Modern Life (11 courses): from 09:00 on June 16
③ Evening Classes (17 courses) and Weekend Classes (5 courses): from 09:00 on June 17

The on-site online application support desk will operate only on weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Applicants using the desk must bring identification and a payment method for course fees, such as a bankbook.

However, applicants who have continuously enrolled in the same course for the previous four terms (one year) are not eligible to apply for that course during the first round of general registration for this term.
