Busan Metropolitan City Busan Nakdong River Project Management Office to Hold the “2026 Nakdong River Estuary Wetland Experience Event”

The Busan Metropolitan City Busan Nakdong River Project Management Office (hereinafter referred to as the “Office”) announced that it will hold the “2026 Nakdong River Estuary Wetland Experience Event” for two days from June 6 to 7 at Eulsukdo Island and the Nakdong Estuary Eco Center area in celebration of the 5th Busan Environmental Education Week (June 5–11).

The event will feature a wide range of ecological experience programs that allow visitors to directly experience the wetlands of the Nakdong River estuary, which are home to rich biodiversity and outstanding ecological scenery.

In addition, Busan Metropolitan City has been operating Busan Environmental Education Week since 2020 to strengthen citizens’ commitment to environmental preservation by promoting various environmental education events throughout the city and encouraging public participation and awareness of environmental education.

Major programs include customized wetland experience programs, interactive booths featuring insects and other themes, a children’s environmental drawing contest, a one-night, two-day ecological camp on Eulsukdo, gourmet ecological tours, performances at the ecological culture plaza, and tours of the Wildlife Medical Center.

Online advance reservations for the experience event will open today (May 26) at 10:00 a.m., and on-site participation will also be available on the day of the event. Detailed information can be found on the Nakdong Estuary Eco Center website at busan.go.kr/wetland.
