“2026 Blue Ocean Youth Startup ‘Full Ship’ Concert” to Be Held

Busan Metropolitan City (Acting Mayor Kim Kyung-duk) announced that it will hold the “Blue Ocean Youth Startup” Full Ship Concert today (30th) at 2:00 PM at the Pukyong Convention Hall, Daeyeon Campus of Pukyong National University, to support career exploration and startup training in the fisheries sector.

This event has been prepared under the slogan “The Future from the Sea! Dream in Busan, Grow in Busan” to enhance young people’s interest in the fisheries industry and their spirit of challenge, while supporting the development of practical startup capabilities.

Approximately 150 participants, including university students and entrepreneurs, are expected to attend. The event is hosted by Pukyong National University, jointly organized by Busan Techno Park and Synergy IB Investment Co., Ltd., and sponsored by Busan Metropolitan City.

The program is composed of four sessions and will be operated as a platform to share startup strategies and field experience.
In Sessions 1 and 2, industry experts and representatives of innovative companies will share key startup strategies and success cases. In Sessions 3 and 4, a talk concert in a Q&A format with speakers will be held, along with one-on-one customized consulting and networking with startup-related organizations, including Pukyong National University, Busan Techno Park, Busan Startup Investment Agency, and the Busan Center for Creative Economy & Innovation.

At the event, CJ CheilJedang, Team Reboot, and Synergy IB Investment Co., Ltd. will participate to deliver lectures on startup strategies and investment attraction.
CJ CheilJedang will present a lecture under the theme “How to Survive in a Rapidly Changing Market,” while Team Reboot (CEO Choi Seong-cheol, professor at Pukyong National University) will speak on “Strategies for Securing Technology and Talent.” Synergy IB Investment Co., Ltd. will present on “When Should You Start Attracting Investment?” focusing on the timing of early-stage funding and investor relations (IR) strategies.

Following the startup strategy lectures, SeaLife Science Lab, which is innovating the fisheries distribution structure through deep-tech data technologies, and Marine Drone Technology, which has successfully commercialized maritime drone delivery, will participate as leading regional innovative companies to present the future vision of the fisheries sector.

Bae Sang-hoon, President of Pukyong National University, stated, “This concert will serve as a valuable stepping stone for our young people to discover new opportunities in the fisheries sector and design their own success stories,” adding, “Pukyong National University will continue to take the lead in fostering young entrepreneurs who will shape Busan’s future through innovative startup education and support.”

Cho Young-tae, Director General of the Marine and Fisheries Bureau of Busan Metropolitan City, said, “We hope this concert will become an opportunity for Busan’s youth to realize their entrepreneurial dreams in the vast arena of opportunities that the sea offers,” adding, “We will continue to make efforts to revitalize the startup ecosystem in the fisheries sector.”
