Busan Metropolitan City Signs MOU with Korea Association of Travel Agents to Ensure the Successful Hosting of the “Seven Bridges Tour”

Busan Metropolitan City (Acting Mayor Kim Kyung-duk) announced that it will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the successful hosting of the “Seven Bridges Tour” today (April 28) at 13:10 in the International Protocol Room at City Hall.

The “Seven Bridges Tour” is the nation’s only large-scale, non-competitive cycling tour event in which participants complete a circular course connecting four of Busan’s iconic sea bridges, two underpasses, and one tunnel. The inaugural event held last year (2025) received an enthusiastic response.

The signing ceremony will be attended by Acting Mayor Kim Kyung-duk of Busan Metropolitan City and Lee Jin-seok, President of the Korea Association of Travel Agents.

This agreement has been prepared to establish a cooperative framework between the two institutions for the successful hosting of the “Seven Bridges Tour,” scheduled for September 20, 2026.

Busan Metropolitan City plans to collaborate with the travel industry to develop the “Seven Bridges Tour” into a global brand and expand the attraction of both domestic and international tourists.

Under the agreement, the two organizations will continue to cooperate in promoting the successful hosting of the event through joint promotional marketing, the development and support of tourism products linked to the “Seven Bridges Tour,” and the mutual sharing of data and information necessary for the event’s implementation.

Acting Mayor Kim Kyung-duk of Busan Metropolitan City stated, “This agreement will provide an opportunity not only for the successful hosting of the Busan ‘Seven Bridges Tour,’ but also to promote Busan’s city brand to the world.” He added, “We will connect efforts to attract overseas participants with stay-oriented tourism products so that sports tourism can contribute to revitalizing the local economy.”

He further remarked, “We will continue to do our utmost to establish Busan as a ‘global sports tourism city’ that attracts attention not only domestically but from people around the world.”
