Busan Metropolitan City to Host the “2026 53rd Busan Children’s Day Festival”

Busan Metropolitan City announced that it will host the “2026 53rd Busan Children’s Day Festival” on May 5 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Busan Cinema Center.

This event is organized as a festive celebration for children and families in observance of Children’s Day (May 5) and Children’s Week (May 1–7). It is co-hosted by Busan Metropolitan City, the Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education, Busan Ilbo, and the Busan Cinema Center, and organized by Busan Ilbo and the ChildFund Korea.

This year’s event will be held under the slogan “Operation: Recharge Children’s Laughter Energy,” featuring an engaging theme in which children become secret agents.

At the outdoor plaza (Dure Square), permanent experience programs will include laser survival, agent agility tests, a secret agent stamp tour, a physical training zone (self-guided experience zone), and a unique career experience exhibition. On the main stage, a variety of performances will take place, including a live show with popular creators, a random play dance with Mamba, a magic bubble show, and “King of Masked Singers of Dreams.”

In addition, the “Little Mamba Market,” where children directly participate in everything from selecting items to selling them, will be operated, along with a music performance (music show) featuring representative characters from “Bread Barbershop.”
