Busan Metropolitan City Museum to Host Children’s Day Event “Dreaming Children, Let’s Play at the Museum!”

Busan Metropolitan City Museum (hereinafter referred to as the Museum) announced that it will host the event “Dreaming Children, Let’s Play at the Museum!” in celebration of Children’s Day 2026, offering a variety of cultural activities for visitors.

This event has been planned to promote communication with the local community and highlight the role and value of the museum through diverse cultural programs that children and their families can enjoy together.

The event will take place on Children’s Day, May 5, from 13:00 to 17:00 throughout the museum grounds. A wide range of programs will be available for children and families, including a magic show, a balloon show, and hands-on activities such as badge and keyring making.

Key programs include the family magic show “Our Family Magic Playground,” the children’s balloon show “Balloon Pop, Laughter Talk,” museum character badge-making, and armor keyring-making activities. The family magic show “Our Family Magic Playground” will be held in the museum auditorium from 14:00 to 15:00, while the children’s balloon show “Balloon Pop, Laughter Talk” will take place in the outdoor yard from 16:00 to 16:30.

At experience booths set up in the museum’s outdoor yard, children can participate in creative hands-on programs such as making museum character badges and armor keyrings.

All programs, except for the family magic show “Our Family Magic Playground,” are free and available for on-site participation on the day of the event. Some hands-on programs may close early if materials are depleted.

The family magic show “Our Family Magic Playground” requires advance reservation for all seats and can be booked through the Busan Museum website starting at 10:00 on April 24. Reservations are limited to a maximum of four tickets per person, and seats cannot be selected. Booster cushions for children are available in limited quantities, so visitors are advised to bring their own if needed.
