“It’s Okay Even If You Can’t See the Path” … Career Special Lecture for Youth Preparing for Independence to Be Held

Busan Metropolitan City announced that it will hold a career special lecture for youth preparing for independence on April 25 at 2:00 p.m. in the Jin-in Hall auditorium of the Busan Youth Integrated Support Center.

This lecture has been organized to provide direction and motivation regarding career paths for youth preparing for independence who are residing at the Busan Youth Self-Reliance Support Center, through the self-reliance support program “Guide (Job)” (career exploration).

The Busan Youth Self-Reliance Support Center is a privately entrusted institution operated by the city to support the independence of out-of-home youth.

The lecture will take the form of a talk show-style career session with a career storyteller.

Author Park Geun-pil will deliver a lecture under the theme, “It’s okay even if you can’t see the path. If you keep walking, that becomes your path,” offering warm encouragement and practical advice to youth struggling with uncertainty about the future and career concerns.

In addition, his diverse personal experiences as a career storyteller are expected to serve as meaningful motivation for youth to design their own career paths and proactively forge their futures.

A question-and-answer session will also be provided, allowing participants to directly ask questions and receive answers.

Meanwhile, the self-reliance support program “Guide (Job)” is a key initiative of the Busan Youth Self-Reliance Support Center and is now in its fifth year.

By offering a wide range of career exploration and hands-on experience opportunities, the program has established itself as a key initiative supporting career planning and entry into society for youth preparing for independence.

Through various programs—including sessions with professionals, speech lectures, and career coaching—it has supported employment preparation and social integration for out-of-home youth residing at the center.

Last year, a total of 62 participants took part in the program. This year, starting with this special lecture, various career programs are planned, including “Career Coaching: Finding Myself and Creating My Path” and “Job Experience: Exploring Careers Through Hands-On Practice.”
