Busan Museum of Movies to Host Children’s Day Event “Imagination Pop Movie Playground: Let’s All Play Together!”

Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Heong-joon) announced that the Busan Museum of Movies (Director Park Chae-seong, located in Jung-gu) will host a special Children’s Day event titled “Imagination Pop Movie Playground: Let’s All Play Together!” for children and family visitors over five days from May 1 to May 5.

This event has been organized to provide children and families with enjoyable cultural experiences through a variety of performances and hands-on programs. It will take place in the 2nd-floor lobby and screening hall of the museum, offering diverse content such as experiential programs, performances, and character-themed events throughout the event period.

Main programs include face painting and caricature drawing, DIY accessory-making experiences, and tattoo sticker activities, all of which are open to anyone during the event period.

On May 3, “Boogi,” the city’s official character, will visit the museum to host a special event with young visitors. Boogi will appear in the lobby and event spaces from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, freely interacting with visitors and taking commemorative photos, adding further excitement to the Children’s Day celebration.

On the final day, May 5, Children’s Day, a character performance featuring the highly popular “Shinbi Apartment” will be held.

The performance will take place twice, at 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM, and will include character performances, participatory events for children, and photo sessions with the characters. Each session will accommodate up to 200 participants, with advance registration available on a first-come, first-served basis via Naver Form.

For this event, the Busan Museum of Movies plans to transform its 2nd-floor lobby into a dedicated children’s experience space, complete with interactive booths and balloon decorations to create a child-friendly environment.

In addition, on-site staff will be deployed to provide guidance and ensure that visitors can participate in the programs safely and comfortably.
