Busan Metropolitan City to Recruit Participants for “Small Business Problem Solver Support Project”

Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Heong-joon) and the Busan Economic Promotion Agency announced that they will recruit local restaurant small business owners to participate in the “Small Business Problem Solver Support Project” from today (the 10th) through April 20.

This project is designed to support local small businesses that possess competitive products and services but are experiencing stagnation due to declining sales, by providing customized consulting and business environment improvement to help them make a new leap forward.

Businesses selected for support will receive on-site visits from “star consultants,” who will diagnose management issues and present practical improvement measures. In addition, improvement support funds of up to 5 million KRW per business will be provided to enable the application of these improvements on-site.

Notable past “problem solver” star chefs include Chef Lee Won-il in 2024 and Chef Raymond Kim in 2025, who contributed to improving small business management. In 2025, participating businesses achieved an average sales increase of more than 17 percent compared to the previous year.

Eligible applicants are small business owners in Busan who have been operating in the restaurant industry for at least three years. Applications can be submitted from today (the 10th) through April 20 via the Busan Small Business Support Center website (bsbsc.kr).

Following the application process, a selection committee composed of experts from various fields will evaluate applicants and select a final total of 10 businesses.
