Busan Metropolitan City Recruits Enumerators for the 2025 Economic Census

Busan Metropolitan City, led by Mayor Park Heong-joon, announced that it is recruiting census personnel to ensure the smooth implementation of the 2025 Economic Census, which will be conducted nationwide from June 1 to July 22.

The Economic Census is a large-scale national statistical survey conducted every five years to assess employment and production structures across all industries by surveying all economic entities (business establishments).

The survey will first be conducted online from June 1 to June 30, followed by on-site visits by enumerators from June 12 to July 22.

Busan Metropolitan City plans to recruit a total of 1,076 personnel, including General Supervisors responsible for overall operations, Field Supervisors in charge of managing enumerators and reviewing survey forms, Field Support Staff assisting survey operations, and Enumerators who visit business establishments to complete survey forms.

Anyone aged 18 or older who can fully commit to the survey work is eligible to apply.

Applications have been open since April 1 and can be submitted online via the 2025 Economic Census website (www.ecensus.go.kr) or by visiting the relevant district or county office in person.

Kim Dong-hyun, Director General of the Future Technology Strategy Bureau, stated, “The Economic Census, conducted every five years, is an extremely important statistical survey that forms the foundation for national and regional economic policies. As the reliability and accuracy of the statistical data depend on the capabilities of the census personnel, we hope that competent individuals with a strong sense of duty and responsibility will actively apply.”
