Busan Metropolitan City to Host the “2026 Joint Recruitment Information Session for Regional Talent with Busan Innovation City”

Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Heong-joon) announced that it will host the “2026 Joint Recruitment Information Session for Regional Talent with Busan Innovation City” (hereinafter referred to as the “Information Session”) at 2:00 PM today (April 2) at BEXCO Exhibition Center II.

The event is jointly organized by Busan Metropolitan City and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, and hosted by the Busan Economic Promotion Agency.

In order to provide customized recruitment information to regional talent, participation has been expanded beyond relocated public institutions in Busan Innovation City to include affiliated public institutions under the city, financial institutions, and related organizations. With a total of 33 participating institutions—the largest number to date—the session is expected to be more substantial than ever.

The Information Session has been prepared to provide recruitment information on public institutions in Busan and consists of a pre-event talk concert with HR managers and the main recruitment information session.

The pre-event will begin at 1:20 PM and include a talk concert with HR representatives from Busan Port Authority, a government-affiliated institution, and Busan Transportation Corporation, a city-affiliated public institution.

The main recruitment information session will begin at 2:00 PM and feature a special lecture titled “2026 Public Institution Recruitment Strategy” by employment expert Kang Min-hyuk, presentations on hiring guidelines by HR representatives from Korea Asset Management Corporation and Korea Southern Power Co., Ltd., and a talk concert with newly hired employees from the Korean Film Council, Korea Housing & Urban Guarantee Corporation, Korea Housing Finance Corporation, and Korea Technology Finance Corporation.

In addition to the information session, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Hall 4F of BEXCO Exhibition Center II, various programs will be operated to provide practical assistance to job seekers. These include recruitment consultation booths, high school graduate and internship recruitment consultation booths, social equity workforce support booths, joint university support booths, youth policy promotion booths, and AI-based job matching and mock interview event booths.

At the recruitment consultation booths for each institution, staff directly responsible for hiring from all 33 institutions will provide one-on-one customized consultations with job seekers.

In particular, a dedicated support booth for socially disadvantaged groups has been newly established this year. Participating institutions—including Korea Asset Management Corporation, Korea Housing & Urban Guarantee Corporation, Korea Housing Finance Corporation, Korea Southern Power Co., Ltd., and Busan Transportation Corporation—will provide tailored guidance on job preparation for eligible applicants.

In addition, joint university support booths for 13 regional universities will offer career and employment guidance services to participating students, alongside youth policy promotion booths and AI-based job matching and mock interview event booths.

Meanwhile, Busan Metropolitan City, in cooperation with the Busan Economic Promotion Agency, operates the “Regional Talent Employment Support Project for Innovation Cities.” This year, new programs have been introduced, including major theoretical lectures on the National Competency Standards (NCS) and an NCS field-linked package for financial public institutions.

Mayor Park Heong-joon stated, “This information session will serve as an important starting point for young people to design their career paths and prepare for their future in Busan,” adding, “We will continue to strengthen collaboration with relocated public institutions and others to establish a virtuous cycle of employment and settlement, where local talent remains in Busan to grow and contribute to regional development.”
