Busan Metropolitan City to Begin Applications for Integrated Recruitment of Public Institutions in the First Half of the Year: 404 Positions Across 19 Organizations

Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Heong-joon) announced that applications for the “2026 First Half Integrated Written Examination for Recruitment of Public Institution Employees” will begin on April 15.

The city has been implementing the integrated written examination since 2021 in order to convert previously dispersed recruitment schedules across affiliated public institutions into a predictable regular recruitment system and to enhance fairness and transparency in the recruitment process.

In the first half of this year, a total of 404 employees will be recruited across 19 institutions, marking the largest scale to date.

By institution, the number of recruits is as follows: Busan Transportation Corporation (256), Busan Metropolitan Corporation (13), Busan Infrastructure Corporation (46), Busan Environmental Corporation (44), BEXCO (5), Busan Medical Center (3), Busan Development Institute (1), Busan Credit Guarantee Foundation (2), Busan Economic Promotion Agency (2), Busan Women and Family Development Institute (2), Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency (5), Busan Global City Foundation (2), Busan Social Service Agency (3), Design Council Busan (4), Busan Cultural Foundation (1), Busan Cinema Center (6), Busan Institute of Science and Technology Promotion (BISTEP) (1), Busan Cultural Center (5), and Busan Startup Investment Agency (3).

This year marks the highest number of participating institutions since the introduction of the integrated recruitment system, and the number of recruits has increased by 84 compared to the first half of last year (320), reaching a record high.

Applications will be accepted online only through the city’s integrated recruitment website for public institutions (https://busan.saramin.co.kr) from April 15 at 10:00 to April 21 at 17:00. Applicants may not apply to more than one institution or submit multiple applications to a single institution.

Detailed information on recruitment categories, exam subjects, and other specifics for each institution will be available from 14:00 today (April 1) on the city’s integrated recruitment website for public institutions or on the respective websites of the recruiting institutions.

The written examination will be conducted on May 16, and test locations will be announced separately through the integrated recruitment website and other channels. Successful candidates of the written examination will be announced at 14:00 on May 27 via the same website.

An aptitude test will be administered to those who pass the written examination, followed by document screening and interview processes conducted by each institution.
