Busan Metropolitan City to Recruit Participating Companies for “Senior-Suitable Job Recruitment Support Program”… Up to 4.8 Million KRW in Wage Support

Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Heong-joon) announced that it will implement the “2026 Busan-Style Senior-Suitable Job Recruitment Support Program” to support the reemployment of experienced senior workers in response to an aging society and to ease the wage burden on companies, and that it will begin recruiting participating companies starting today (the 16th).

This program provides partial wage support to companies located in Busan that hire workers aged 60 or older for 108 senior-suitable job categories across 10 sectors selected by the city.

Depending on working hours, up to 600,000 KRW per month will be provided for up to eight months, totaling a maximum of 4.8 million KRW.

In addition, workers hired through this program will receive employment incentive payments of up to 600,000 KRW in total, provided at 100,000 KRW per month for up to six months.

The main support measures are divided into company support, Senior With Job support, and worker support, and are applied differentially depending on the recruitment type and working hours.

For company support, when companies newly hire or rehire workers after retirement, wage support ranging from 2.4 million KRW to a maximum of 4.8 million KRW per worker will be provided over eight months depending on the contractual working hours.

For the Senior With Job type, where two senior workers share the same position and work 15 to 20 hours per week each, companies will receive wage support along with an additional 1.2 million KRW in operational expenses.

For worker support, senior employees hired through the program will receive employment incentive payments totaling 600,000 KRW over six months in order to encourage job retention and enhance motivation to work.

Eligible applicants include companies located in Busan that hired Busan residents aged 60 or older after January 1, 2026, and that meet basic requirements such as working at least 15 hours per week and signing an employment contract for at least three months.

Companies of all sizes—including small and medium-sized enterprises, mid-sized companies, and large companies with fewer than five employees—are eligible, and each company may receive support for up to five workers.

Companies wishing to participate in the program may submit applications online through the Busan Employers Federation website (www.bsefapp.co.kr) starting today (the 16th) until the budget is exhausted.
